Mockingbirds Lose By a Run at Montana, 4-3
The Montana Pandas and Mississippi Mockingbirds played an exciting game.

Montana right-hander Currito Fonseca pitched his team to victory over the Mississippi Mockingbirds at Panda Park. The final score was 4-3. Roy Lowe closed the door for Montana, picking up his 1st save of the year.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Iiri Haapajarvi was at the plate when Montana scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Pandas to go in front, 4-3.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Fonseca said after the game.

Montana, now 5-12, is off to a slow start.
