Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Yellows
Pontiac second baseman Nick Christensen was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Yucca Valley beat the Godfathers, 8-6. Javier Rúbio sewed up the save, his 5th. The Yellows now have a mark of 51-34.

Yucca Valley took a 8-6 lead on Okakura Samurakami's 17th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Samurakami hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Pontiac pitcher Cristo Sánchez visibly frustrated.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Samurakami. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
