Washington picked up a win at Washington Park, toppling the Delmarva Gallos, 5-2. Pitcher Paco Meza was one of the reasons the Generals triumphed. With the win, Washington upped its record to 45-40.
Kerry Carcia, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Washington win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Carcia.
