Hermit Crabs Stick Yinzers with 7-5 Loss
The first-place Huntington Hermit Crabs picked up another win.

The 7-5 Huntington win over Monroeville was due largely to Craig Paynter. The Hermit Crabs third baseman was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Huntington reliever Rex Davis picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Russell Batista was tagged with the loss. Eisaku Ishikawa recorded the save for Huntington, his 20th of the season.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the seventh when Paynter, who is tied for 6th in the SA in extra base hits with 29, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Hermit Crabs into the lead, 6-5.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Paynter told the Huntington Citizen. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."

The Hermit Crabs lead the Silver A by 7½ games.
