Yellows Win at Washington, 4-3
Yucca Valley shortstop Cory Clayton played a vital role in his team's 4-3 triumph over Washington. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk for Yucca Valley. Kevin Williams came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. Yucca Valley now has a record of 47-30 with the win.

Yucca Valley used the timely hitting of Rocky Davis to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Yellows on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Washington skipper Nick Hoskins.
