Pittsburgh rode a fine outing from starter Todd Hunter to victory over the Toledo Stingers at Pittsburgh Grounds. The final score was 4-2. Elton Ray picked up the save, his 3rd. The victory makes Pittsburgh 7-7.
It was a masterful performance from the popular Hunter, who notched 10 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Hunter goes to 2-0 on the year with 31 strikeouts.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Hunter told the Pittsburgh Herald.
