Blue Dragons Take Down Walleye, 7-4
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Walla Walla Walleye and Levittown Blue Dragons get after it.
Levittown picked up a win at The Cave at Levittown, bumping off the Walla Walla Walleye, 7-4. Pitcher Dusty McKee was a major reason the Blue Dragons emerged victorious. The win belongs to José Rivera in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Harry Richter took the loss for Walla Walla.
Ramón Ortíz hit a 2-run triple off Harry Richter in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Blue Dragons in front, 6-4. Ortíz had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said McKee. "Successful pitchers do it."
At 12-17, the Blue Dragons find themselves in 8th place in the Premier A.
