The South Beach Blaze trumped the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 7-5, at Seahwaks Stadium. South Beach catcher Lorenzo Gallardo was terrific. He was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Rob McQueen, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. With the win, South Beach goes to 16-6, while the Seahawks fall to 11-11.

South Beach used a timely hit from Dave Watson to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blaze ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gallardo.
