Chappell Rips 2 Home Runs in 6-5 Hawks Triumph
Laredo and Huntington duked it out and the Hawks came out victorious.

In the 6-5 Laredo win over Huntington, the impact of Calvin Chappell was substantial. Chappell, who leads the SA in runs scored with 49, went 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bastien Martinez, credited with the save, is now 17 for 18 in save opportunities.

Chappell had a timely hit for Laredo in the bottom of the eighth. With Huntington trailing 5-4, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Laredo.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Laredo manager Leonardo Sánchez.

With the win, Laredo raised its record to 36-35.
