In a low-scoring game between Yucca Valley and Monroeville, pitcher Carlos Gómez was excellent. The Yucca Valley right-hander helped his team knock off the Yinzers, 2-1. The losing streak for Monroeville has now reached 5 games.
The Yellows got a big boost from first baseman Ahvo Holkeri who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third inning off Yinzers hurler Diego Guerrero. It was his 32nd RBI of the season and put Yucca Valley on top, 2-1.
