South Beach Blaze starter Tommy Casey had all his pitches working at The Cave at Levittown. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 South Beach win over the Levittown Blue Dragons. South Beach reliever Rob McQueen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tuo-zhou Zhào absorbed the loss. The Blaze, now 13-3, have been on fire in the early going.

South Beach used the timely hitting of Emílio Fuentes to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Fuentes attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
