Pontiac starter Paul Allen put a stranglehold on the Yucca Valley offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Godfathers to a 7-0 win. In 7.1 innings, Allen surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Godfathers go to 26-39 with the win.

Making an impact for the home team was Carlos Macías. In the bottom of the second, the 20-year old center fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Godfathers.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Allen told the Pontiac Chronicle.
