4-3 Loss Extends Washington Losing Streak
Delmarva right-hander Thomas Rice pitched his team to victory over the Washington Generals at The Cage. The final score was 4-3. Rafael Medina converted his 7th save in 7 tries. The victory gives Delmarva a record of 40-25.

The Generals had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Gallos going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Keith Atkins came to the plate. Atkins hit a solo home run on a 0-1 curveball from Washington hurler Paco Meza. It was Atkins's 7th home run of the year.

"It feels good to get this one," Atkins told the Delmarva Today.
