Caterpillars Earn 5-4 Win Versus Generals
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars did just enough to sneak past the Washington Generals, 5-4, at Washington Park. Grand Forks pitcher Young-kwang Chong, in particular, had a standout performance. The win belongs to Jon Abood in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Dawson Adams took the loss for Washington. Neung-uk Yi finished the game for Grand Forks and earned his 4th save.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Ben Carmody hit a sacrifice fly. The Caterpillars took the lead, 5-4.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Grand Forks manager Craig Stewart. "It's usually not just one thing."
Washington's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
