Yellows Earn 4-3 Win Versus Hermit Crabs
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs got a superb performance from pitcher Albert Surtees. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yucca Valley. The Yellows won the game, 4-3. Surtees threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Yucca Valley reliever Jorge Castro got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Dave Davis was tagged with the loss. Edemona Babitu earned the save for Yucca Valley, his 5th of the year.
Esteban Hernández drew 1 walk for Yucca Valley. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Dave Davis. It was his 1st walk of the season.
Hernández called the win "a team effort."
