The Laredo Hawks dealt the Washington Generals a 6-4 loss at Washington Park. Calvin Chappell was the star on offense. He went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Bastien Martinez collected his 8th save. The Hawks saw their record improve to 22-22.

Laredo used the timely hitting of Luc Leroux to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Leroux said after the game.
