Hobeaus Deal Caterpillars 4-1 Defeat
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus beat the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-1, at The Cocoon. The win was due in part to left fielder Mattia Binotto, who was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Adrian Griffith. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 3-2. The victory puts Smoky Mountain at 15-24.

Smoky Mountain took a 4-0 lead on Binotto's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Steve Donaldson in the top of the sixth, propelled Smoky Mountain to the win.
