Washington Park was host to some action-packed drama.

The Washington Generals did just enough to sneak past the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 7-6, at Washington Park. Washington pitcher Ricardo Hernández, in particular, had a standout performance. Washington reliever Juan Gutiérrez got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Mike Ramírez was tagged with the loss.

Kerry Carcia was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Generals first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Hernández told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

Washington goes to 17-13, Grand Forks to 16-14.
