D.C. first baseman Kuniyoshi Kodo made his presence felt in the 6-3 Divided triumph over the Detroit Elite. Kodo was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. D.C. reliever Wu-ti Xuan picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Earl Hurdle was tagged with the loss. The loss has the Elite at 2-5.

Jorge Quilez was the walk-off hero for D.C.. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Divided center fielder hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth.
