The 7-2 Laredo win over Grand Forks was due in large part to Arturo Collazo. The Hawks center fielder was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the win, Laredo upped its record to 13-11.

It could have been a different outcome for Laredo, had it not been for Edmund Benson, the 22-year old shortstop . Benson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Laredo up, 3-1.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Collazo.
