5-4 Loss to Godfathers Extends Monroeville Losing Streak
|
The Pontiac Godfathers beat the Monroeville Yinzers, 5-4, in part because of left fielder Keith Finley. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Cristo Sánchez earned the save for Pontiac, his 1st of the year. Pontiac goes to 7-8.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Godfathers grabbed the lead when Finley hit his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run off Boris Stanjevic made it 5-4, Pontiac.
"I was a little disappointed," said Monroeville manager Júlio González. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
