The Lake Erie Arryns got a stellar performance from pitcher Katsuhito Goto, who handcuffed the Syracuse offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Arryns Ballpark. Lake Erie now has a record of 49-40 with the win.

The Storm had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Arryns going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Silvio van Dalen came to the plate. van Dalen hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-2 curveball from Syracuse hurler Fernando Ríos. It was van Dalen's 3rd triple of the year.

van Dalen called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
