Storm Earn 2-1 Win Against Comets
|
Syracuse Storm starter Roberto Luna pitched a strong game against the Kent Comets at Fuller Park, leading the Storm to victory, 2-1. Syracuse reliever Todd Huff picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. John Palmer took the loss. At 38-49, Syracuse is in 10th place in the Menard's A.
Syracuse used the clutch hitting of Randy Atkinson to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Storm the lead, 2-1. For the game, Atkinson had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Tough loss," said Kent manager Chua-kah Liu. "But we'll learn from it."
