The Laredo Hawks and Huntington Hermit Crabs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Huntington Hermit Crabs starter Jeff Morehead turned in a top-notch performance against the Laredo Hawks at Hawks Field. The result was a win for the Hermit Crabs, 6-2. In 7.1 innings, Morehead surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run.

Huntington relied on the hitting of Bob Hargrove to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hermit Crabs on top, 2-0. For the game, Hargrove had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hargrove said.

The Hawks fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2047 season.
