Hermit Crabs Collect 4-3 Win Over Gallos
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs picked up a win at The Shell, knocking off the Delmarva Gallos, 4-3. On the mound for Huntington was left-hander Brad Hehir, who played a pivotal role in the win. Huntington pitcher Eisaku Ishikawa got the win, upping his record to 2-1. José Torres got the loss. The loss lowers the Delmarva record to 6-4.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Huntington trailing 3-2, Alanzo Gaufi hit a fastball from José Torres to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Hermit Crabs had a walk-off win.
"What an ending!" said a jubilant Hehir.
