Kent second baseman Carlos Campos contributed to his team's 2-1 win over the Kingston Mangos. Campos went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Comets. Gilberto Elías came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The save was credited to Joe Horne, his 1st.

The Comets got a big at-bat from right fielder Stephen Hammond, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Comets on top, 2-0.

Hammond called the win "a collective effort."
