The Washington Generals got a superb performance from pitcher Chiah-jen Fu. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pontiac. The Godfathers won the game, 7-0. Fu came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Washington falls to 7-3.

The Godfathers benefited from an error in the top of the third inning. Pontiac was leading 1-0 when Naomichi Kodo hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Pontiac in front, 3-0.

Kodo said his team "played with focus."
