Comets Nip Mangos, 2-1
|
Kent Comets starter Al Moore hurled his team past the Kingston Mangos, 2-1. Kent reliever Chor-min Kim picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Dan Rasmussen shouldered the loss. The save went to Micheal Ford, his 6th this season.
Edgardo Monje drew 1 walk for Kent. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Dan Rasmussen. It was his 26th walk of the season.
"We put together a nice win," Moore said.
Kent improves to 53-27 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.
