The Northville Eclipse got a stellar performance from pitcher Andrei-Luiz Dawang, who handcuffed the Nuevo Mexico offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Old-Timers Park. Dawang, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. The triumph puts Northville at 54-47 for the season.
António Marquis, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in stolen bases with 47, chipped in for Northville with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Dawang said after the game.
