The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Richland pitcher Al Waddle to claim a 2-0 win at Rails Ballpark. Waddle went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win elevated the Thunder Hawks to 48-48.

Ft. Polk South used a well-timed hit by Diego Moreno to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It was a solid team effort," said Moreno after the game.
