Thunder Hawks Deal Rails 5-4 Defeat
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Richland Rails, 5-4, in USPL Double A action at Rails Ballpark. Ft. Polk South pitcher Mark Brunswick had a standout performance. Richland's current losing streak has reached 6 games.
Ft. Polk South used the bat of Virgil Hughes to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Richland manager Dave Orchard. "The effort was great."
