Expos Take Down Mangos, 4-3
|
In a close game at Waterfall Park, the Niagara Falls Expos edged the Kingston Mangos, 4-3. Niagara Falls first baseman Luis Martínez stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Niagara Falls now has a 3-game win streak.
Jermaine George was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Expos shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Niagara Falls manager Dave Davis. "It's usually not just one thing."
