Belleville Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Belleville starter Dan McIntyre had a strong outing against the Niagara Falls Expos at Belleville Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Dave Wilson picked up the win in relief for Belleville, while Arnel Lazaro took the loss. The Bulls saw their win-loss record go to 19-23. At the same time, the Expos fell to 18-24.
The clutch hit was provided by Eric Welch. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring double off Ramón Pacheco in the bottom of the 12th.
McIntyre called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."
