Ft. Polk South starter Basem Al-Saodi kept the Minnesota offense under clamps, while his team rolled to victory, 11-1. Al-Saodi, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The 6th-place Thunder Hawks have won 14 straight games.

Ft. Polk South used a well-timed hit by Anton Zdravomyslov to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Steve Duncan.
