Pilgrims Deal Mariachis 4-2 Loss
|
A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Brody King, who is tied for 9th in the PAA with a .280 batting average, led the Providence Pilgrims to a win over the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 4-2. Lodovico Tadini got credit for the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The Pilgrims go to 30-55 with the win.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, King hit a cutter from Rusty Williams for a 2-run home run. The Pilgrims, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It was terrific getting this win," King said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
