Eclipse Need Extra Frames to Get Past Pilgrims
|
Northville Eclipse starter Tim Chuter turned in an exceptional performance against the Providence Pilgrims at Field of Plenty, resulting in a Northville win, 5-2. The Pilgrims have now dropped 5 straight.
Northville needed the clutch hitting of Manuel Marín to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Eclipse on top, 5-2. For the game, Marín had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I liked his command," said Northville manager Harris Harden. "Tim was throwing strikes."
