Arryns Win at Kingston, 7-2
|
Lake Erie turned a good effort from starter Steve Ward into a win over the Kingston Mangos at Mango Yard. The final score was 7-2. The Mangos fall to 5-13 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2047 season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for José Román? The Lake Erie first baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Arryns on top, 3-1. For the game, Román had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Román told the Lake Erie Gazette.
