Loss to Torch Extends Alameda Losing Streak
The Mancelona Torch defeated the Alameda Airmen, 5-2. Doing his part was center fielder Tak-keung Zha, who went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. Raza Jadoon, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Dennis Heath finished the game for Mancelona and earned his 5th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Takenao Taniguchi, the 20-year old center fielder . Taniguchi contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Mancelona up, 4-1.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Torch," said Zha.

The Torch, now 13-4, have been on fire in the early going.
