Loons first baseman Claudio Guzmán put his stamp on his team's 7-5 win over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Guzmán belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Minnesota in the contest. The winner in relief was George Murray. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. Ft. Polk South is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Guzmán had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Albert Poe, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Loons a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Guzmán.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Guzmán told the Minnesota Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
