The Mancelona Torch did just enough to sneak past the Cut Off Crawdads, 3-2, at Torch Field. Mancelona pitcher Beau Kelley, in particular, had a standout performance. Dennis Heath picked up the save, his 4th. Mancelona goes to 6-3.

Charles Cummings had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for Mancelona. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Mancelona in front, 3-1.

"We take it day by day here," said Kelley, "and today was a good one for us."
