The Seattle Rocketeers defeated the Boston Patriots, 6-3. Doing his part was first baseman Gah-fat Liu, who was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Basilio Delgado in relief. His record improves to 9-5. Adrián Gómez took the loss. Jeffery Clayton finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Seung-jae Kyong to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We take it day by day here," said Liu, "and today was a good one for us."
After today's action, Seattle sits at 42-46, while Boston falls to 46-42.
