No one was more impactful than Walt Reed in the 9-2 Virginia Beach win over Tacoma. Reed, who is tied for 3rd in the SAA in RBI with 59, went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win elevated the Whales to 42-36.

Virginia Beach grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Reed, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA in extra base hits with 40, hit a 3-run home run. His 29th home run of the season put the Whales out in front, 5-2.

"I felt good up there," said Reed. "I saw the ball well."
