|
In a low-scoring affair between the Billings Polar Bears and the Barton Springs Blues, pitcher Ramelan Mollema was the difference between victory and defeat. The Billings right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Polar Bears win. Todd Jackson recorded the save, his 4th. Barton Springs has now lost 6 in a row.
With no one out in the bottom of the second, Stan Daniels barreled up a knuckle curve from Urs Bilderbeek. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Polar Bears in front, 3-0.
"Tough loss," said Barton Springs manager Joe Kehoe. "But we'll learn from it."
