Fur Traders Suffer 7-5 Setback
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 7-5, with catcher Christian Bray playing a big role. Bray was 2-4 with 2 home runs for the Pierogis in the win. Squirrel Hill reliever George Law picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Rafael Ramos took the loss. Jack Herer earned the save for Squirrel Hill, his 11th of the year.

Squirrel Hill used a clutch hit from Brenton Hale to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pierogis ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Bray.

The win has Squirrel Hill at 28-44.
