Patriots Stumble, Lose to Leviathan
Nova Scotia took on Boston in front of a lively crowd.

The Nova Scotia Leviathan downed the Boston Patriots, 10-4, at The Dungeon in Halifax. The Leviathan were led by Mark Toope. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner was Nicolaas Eland in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Robert Moody took the loss. Max van Capelleveen collected save number 1.

With Nova Scotia leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Toope came up to bat against Boston pitcher Jesús Vidro. Toope hit a fastball to right for a 2-run double. His 17th double of the season put the Leviathan on top, 5-1.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Boston manager Tyler Carter. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

The 8th-place Leviathan are 38-49.
