The Barton Springs Blues bested the Toledo Saboteurs, 6-2, at Toledo Backyard Park. Leonardo Valdéz was one of the standouts. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ryan Riley got the win, improving to 8-5. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The win puts the Blues at 30-35, while the Saboteurs drop to 34-31.
Early in the game, Valdéz had a 2-run home run for Barton Springs. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Blues on top, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Valdéz after the game.
