Skidding Leviathan Lose 9th Straight
|
The Boston Patriots downed the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 7-5, at The Dungeon in Halifax. Tony Parra led the way, going 2-for-5 for Boston. Luke Corner snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 6-3 on the season. This loss makes it 9 in a row for Nova Scotia.
Parra came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With Nova Scotia trailing 5-4 in the top of the ninth, Parra hit a first pitch fastball for a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season made it 7-5, Boston.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Parra. "And not try to do too much."
