Blues Win, 3-2, at Gwinnett

The Barton Springs Blues did just enough to secure a victory over the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 3-2, at Experimental Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Rick Baker. Baker, now 1-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. Getting the save was Graviel Azevedo, his 14th.
Truman Posner drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Barton Springs. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Francisco Díaz. It was his 17th walk of the season.
"It's good to win," Posner told the Barton Springs Citizen. "I like to have fun doing it."
The Blues now have a mark of 25-31.
