Wright Hits 2 home runs in Guinea Pigs Win
The winning streak continued for Gwinnett.

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs beat the Tacoma Fur Traders, 10-5, at Ballpark of Tacoma. The Guinea Pigs got a fine performance from designated hitter Stone Wright, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Jorge Cambeiro picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 4 in 7 innings.

Wright contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Gwinnett in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Wright took a fastball from Wally Moon and stroked the home run to right. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Guinea Pigs to leap in front, 2-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Wright told the Gwinnett Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."

The last-place Fur Traders have lost 4 consecutive games.
