Guinea Pigs Stay Hot, Beat Saboteurs, 3-2

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs picked up a win at Experimental Stadium, knocking off the Toledo Saboteurs, 3-2. On the mound for Gwinnett was right-hander Homer Sanders, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Sanders, now 5-2. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 10. Juan González finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Early in the game, left fielder Chandler Schroeder had a 3-run home run for Gwinnett. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Guinea Pigs on top, 3-0.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Schroeder.
The victory gives Gwinnett a record of 33-15.
